Enhancing Our Reporting and Analytics
I’m very excited to announce that Mindflash has enhanced our reporting capability with advanced learning analytics reports. Through discussions with our customers, and Mindflash users in our customer community, we gathered your requests for a more advanced reporting tool in Mindflash. As with all Mindflash features, we wanted to make sure our customers have the best user experience possible.
We’ve always had a reporting functionality here at Mindflash. It worked for most of our customers; but the further our customers took their training courses, the deeper the reporting they needed. Instead of creating every permutation of reports known to man, we asked ourselves: What really makes sense to our customers? What questions are they trying to answer? Why do they even need reporting? We seeked to simplify it and provide them with insights. Let’s take a look at what we’ve built.
Our new Overview Dashboard provides the trainer with a high level overview of everything that is happening with their trainees and courses. Here, you’ll be able to view the current status of trainees in all courses. You can also drill in further to see more details about trainees in each status such as trainees who are still in progress. Total training hours and the average time in a course give the trainer a view of how much time trainees have spent in Mindflash training. Because the Overview Dashboard includes all courses and trainees, it’s a great starting point to get a quick snapshot on the status of all your courses and trainees. Think of it as your command center.
The Course Detail focuses mainly on the course itself. Check in on all your trainees’ progress through a course and find out how far along they are in it. A new report that is included in this dashboard is Quiz Details.
The Quiz Details report gives you an overview of average scores in a quiz, allowing you to drill in further to see the distribution of correctly answered and incorrectly answered questions. This level of information may provide more insight into each question. You may find out that some questions were more frequently answered incorrectly than others. This gives you the opportunity to dig deeper into the question itself and allow you to decide if you want to edit the question to be clearer.
Everything you need to know about a trainee’s history is available here. See the courses they have taken, their scores on quizzes and questions, and their current status. This is a great transcript report of a trainee that can be used to check when and if a trainee has completed a course and how well they did. Is your manager looking for scores on their employee’s intensive sales readiness courses? You can simply export this report to a PDF and email it to the manager.
Series level reporting is a new feature that we introduced along with our advanced reporting. Now, trainers can view reports on Series specific metrics including the ability to track trainee’s progress through a series, the current status of a series, and the individual course scores in a series, all in one page.
And there you have it — our new advanced reports! Customers who have had a sneak preview of our advanced reports have said it will save them hours of work each month. Advanced reports are now available for those with our Advanced and Pro tiers. If you’re not a current customer, sign up for a free trial and take it for a spin! Tell us what you think. We’d love to hear from you.
