Decision Tree: Should You Let Your Employees Work From Home?
Today, many companies offer their employees the option to work from home, even if they live relatively close to the office. But common sense tells us that for some employees, this may not be the best option. As you can imagine, some unsupervised employees would sooner fill their day playing World of Warcraft than actually working. This decision tree will help you decide if you should let your employees work remotely, or if they should be required to work in-house.

Very Interesting..! I think the decision should be made by the manager/owner on a case-by-case basis.
Possibility of working from home definitely depends on the type of business and the job people do. If they work in a customer interface and need to be available during working hours – it’s definitely not an option. But if their constant presence in the office isn’t required by nature of their job, home office may be more efficient solution. Again, it should be agreed with the manager, who should ensure the employees to deliver expected result. I’m HR and do home office (where I’m more efficient) a couple of days per week. When I have meetings, etc – I show up in the office. One more thing to remember here – people working from home lost a team spirit within some time, so team building/common events would help to settle this side effect.

Fun!
How about a corresponding chart for the employee: Is it a good idea for me to work from home?
I miss the dimension that many (most?) people would love to/benefit from working from home part of the time but not all the time.

If you have easy way to track their progress, you can let them work from home.

Strange—in the thumbnail on Column Five’s Tumblr, the answers to “Would you say they are organized and self-motivated” are reversed. I wondered if there was a conspiracy against the organized and self-motivated and we needed to keep them in the office under surveillance!
Thanks for some other informative website. Where else may I am getting that type of info written in such a perfect manner? I’ve a undertaking that I am just now operating on, and I have been on the glance out for such info.
